The Emerging Artist-in-Residence (EAR) program is a one-year residency that will give a young theatre artist the chance to develop, workshop and realize an original project under the mentorship of the SFMT Collective and staff. This residency also provides the opportunity for the EAR to broaden her/his own artistic participation with the Mime Troupe and the large artistic community of the Bay Area. Currently this is an unpaid residency, however housing can be provided. Although not guaranteed, the position of EAR could eventually lead to a long-term association with the Troupe. Theatre artists and activist with an affinity for the Troupe's work and mission are ideal candidates for the EAR. Previous SFMT Interns and workshop participants are given special consideration!
