ABOUT

Every Fall, YTP will present an opportunity for youth participants to take a deeper dive into the art of acting and skills of performance. Whether mounting a short play or a staged reading, this workshop gives students the chance to learn more about the variety of techniques and styles needed for different types of performance .

This workshop meets after school with a culminating presentation as a finale at our studio located in the Mission District of San Francisco.

YTP provides meals and snacks at each workshop session and youth apprentices will be paid at the completion of the program. The Youth Theater Project is entirely funded by foundations & individual donors and is always free to participants.

APPLY

YTP offers participants the opportunity to investigate and express their thoughts, reactions, and calls to action. Our goal is to guide our participants in artistic and creative expression of their opinions and to create meaningful theater art!

The intensive program will meet after school at the Mime Troupe Studio for sessions. The program culminates in a final showing that will take place in the final week of the program.

YTP is open to all high school aged students and recent high school grads. If you have questions about your eligibility, please email ytp@sfmt.org.

The SF Mime Troupe's YTP is FREE OF CHARGE for all! In fact, our youth participants are able to earn a stipend upon completion of the program.

For more information or questions about eligibility please email ytp@sfmt.org!
